Busy Weekend
First Pine Tree Festival
We had a somewhat busy weekend. Dierks is holding the annual Pine Tree Festival, and we had to take Teralee down. As always, there wasn't much to be seen. In recent years, the festival has gotten a lot smaller than when I was growing up or maybe I just thought it was better. Anyway, we did go down Friday night just to take Teralee to her first festival. It was so hot that I put ice packs in her stroller with her. We only stayed about 30 minutes, and we were all sweating so bad that we decided we needed to go home. The festival brings back good memories for me though. Last year during the festival, I was newly pregnant with Teralee, and all I wanted was a funnel cake. So Gary took me to get one, a large one, and we got PaDee one, too. I took it back to Nana's and ate the whole thing. Nana even made a comment about me eating the whole thing. Later when we announced the pregnancy, Nana remembered me the eating that funnel cake, and she finally knew why. Unfortunatly, I didn't get one this year. I am sure this is the first of many hot, miserable festivals for us. That evening we tried out Teralee's new megasaucer because all she wants to do is stand up. She really enjoyed it for a while. While she was playing, her cousin, Kylie, called and had to talk to her on the phone. I guess this is only the beginning. We also went to Teralee's first wedding. Some family friends and fellow Christians were married on Saturday in Hot Springs at Garvan Gardens. The gardens now have a glass chapel which is beautiful. If you haven't seen it, you need to go. Congratulations to John and Katie, by the way! Teralee was so precious in her yellow dress. We made it just in time to the wedding, but Ms. T had other plans than to stay for the ceremony. She and I spent that time in the car eating. We did however make it to the reception which was great. Teralee had good conversations with PaDee and Rachel while we were there. Nana also had a wonderful black M&M, if you see her ask about it! :) After the wedding, we met the Chaney's for lunch. Thanks guys for meeting us! Can't wait to see you soon. We had a great family lunch at Nana's on Sunday. Uncle Bo, Aunt Belinda, Ben, and Drew came up. We were so glad to get to spend some time with them. Teralee talked and played with everybody. Now we are patiently waiting for the Hicks to get here. We have a busy week ahead for sure!

Miss Teralee, You looked so pretty all dressed up for John's and Katie's wedding. Your first wedding and your first Pine Tree Festival all in the same weekend made for a busy time. Now Aunt Tera, Uncle Jer, Jace, and Jerod are here. What fun we are all having with them. We love you all so much. Hugs and kisses from Nana and Pa Dee
