A Week in Little Rock

img_Jun_28_2009_16_48 You and Mommy spent last week in Little Rock. I had do go through a week of training for my new position at work. (For those of you who don't know, I will be teaching Senior World History next year!) I just couldn't leave you for that long since you are still nursing at night. (You are doing better, and we are very close to being weened(sp).) Daddy is taking summer classes and has to attend everyday, so we played musical babysitters all week. Mommy and you are so lucky to have people to help out in a crunch. Nana came with us Sunday to watch you Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. She had help on Wednesday, because Daddy came up after class for a visit and to pick Nana up to go home. Ma also came Wednesday to watch you on Thursday. We watched Nana and Daddy leave from the window. You waved so big and yelled "Dada". For the rest of the evening you would go back to the window look out and yell "Dada". It was too precious. Since Ma had to leave Friday to go see Jace and Jerod, Uncle Bo and Aunt Belinda came up on Thursday to keep you Friday. With all this changing and being in a hotel all week, you were still a wonderful little girl. You did so well being away from home. You slept through the nights except for one night, but I think that was your fifth tooth braking through causing the problem. When I got out of class everyday, we tried to get out. We went to the mall, to dinner, and to the pool almost every night. We were at dinner one evening with Nana, and you thought you saw your daddy, so you proceeded to yell for him, but the guy didn't come to you. You looked at me so confused and kept repeating "dada, dada". I tried to explain, but your eyes told me you weren't for sure about all this. You were not for sure about the pool on the first night either, but after staying a while and seeing it was fun to splash Mommy and Nana you decided loved it. You were jumping to Mommy from the steps and off the side. I was so happy when you started enjoying the water. You loved it so much that you screamed and cried when it was time to go. While Daddy was there on Wednesday, he took to the Build-A-Bear Workshop at the mall. You guys helped put Fluffy the Panda together and dressed him in a great Razorback T-shirt and blue jeans. You were very excited to show me when I came in that afternoon. Ma took you to play and shopping when she was there, and Uncle Bo and Aunt Belinda took you shopping, too. They got to see your love for shoes first hand. You decided that you don't like oatmeal cereal anymore, so you have started having all kinds of different things for breakfast. You had yogurt, dry cereal, blueberry muffins, pancakes, and bananas. Of course when we went out for dinner, you had to have a grilled cheese. This is your food of choice now. You also tried a tomato and liked it. Did not get that from your Mommy. You were so worn out on Friday that you slept almost the entire way home in the car. You were very excited to get home, and so was Mommy. Thanks guys for helping me out this week. I appreciate it so much and love you all.

Teralee, You were really a good girl. I will never forget how you made every step I made the first day. You weren't too sure of things, but that all changed. You have become "Miss Independent" lately. Love how you finally took to the water. You may be like Drew was ( and still is) having no fear. Hugs and kisses from Nana and Pa Dee
