My First Birthday Party
Baylee, your cousin, had her 2nd birthday party Saturday at Dierks Lake. This was your first party to attend, but you were invited to Gus's party, but never made it. You slept right through it. Anyway, I think you enjoyed being outside and did so great. You stared at all the decorations, and watched everyone closely. You didn't want Mommy to get to far away. You got to see all the family, and your Uncle Bubba couldn't get enough of you. He is so good with you! You already have another invite for a birthday party for a little boy at your sitter's. What a whole new world it is with you.
Happy 2nd Birthday, Baylee! We love you!
Helping Mommy get ready for School
Back to Work
You and Ma went with Mommy to school on Saturday to finish up getting my room ready for Monday. I can't believe it is already time to start work again. Mommy is so sad to leave you, but I know it will make our time together that much more special. Mommy loves you so much, angel!
Trying SO Hard to get Mobile!
4 Month Check-Up
Today, you had your four month check-up. In Dr. Green's words "you are perfect", but we already knew that. You were a very good girl for your appointment. You laughed and smiled at the nurses and doctor. You now weigh 12 lbs 4 oz, are 24 inches long, and your head is 15 inches around. Those measurements put you in the 25% for weight, 50% for length, and 10% for head. You want to sit or stand up all the time, and you are constantly moving. You enjoy lying in the floor and kicking. You also recently rolled from you back to your belly which shocked all of us including you because you don't really like to be on your belly. You like to talk a lot, and you try to copy mouth movements. You are a great sleeper at night, but still haven't mastered naps in the day. You will be going to Mrs. Jamie's more this week and full time next week. Mommy is really sad to not get to spend all her day with you, but I know you will really have fun at Mrs. Jamie's. You are doing so good, angel. Mommy and Daddy love you so much!
Teralee is trying to say "Jace"
or so Jace thinks!
First Trip to Dierks Lake
Uncle Jeremie and Daddy decided that Jace and Jerod might like to ride the tube at the lake. Jace decided he wanted to go fishing, so Daddy hooked up the boat and off we all went to Dierks Lake. It wasn't to hot, but you and Mommy stayed on the bank in the shade. The boys did great riding the tube. They had a blast. I don't think Jace caught any fish though. You just enjoyed the sights and sounds of being outside. We put your feet in the water, and you weren't to sure about what was going on. I think it might have been the sand between your toes. You were so precious in your pink sun hat.
Visit from the Hicks
We were so excited last week to have Uncle Jeremie, Aunt Tera, Jace and Jerod down for a visit. We haven't seen them since you were born, and this was the first time for you to meet your Uncle Jeremie. He says you look just like your daddy. (and so are many other people now) Jace couldn't get enough of you, and Jerod would look at you and that was about it for him. He can't wait for you to play with him. In fact, he decided one morning you needed to play legos and dumped the lego bucket in your bouncy seat with you. Jace helped take care of you by making sure someone knew when you needed changing, wanted your passy, or wanted to eat. He was a big help! You would watch both boys very carefully and would smile a lot at them. Your Aunt Tera couldn't get enough of you either. We are going to miss all of them so much. We are already counting the days down until Christmas. We also got to see Grandma McRae, Aunt Connie, and April during the week. Thanks for coming down guys. Uncle Bo, Aunt Belinda, Ben, and Drew made several trips up as well. You were such a good girl with everyone around and all the excitement. You were pretty laid back during everything. We so enjoy getting to spend time with family. We love all of you!
